Lace it up and tie it up. Shoes and scarves
So many laced up looks. So much wrapping, tying, threading and looping. The Runway Spring 16 Ready to Wear collections were full of it and it’s in many collections already .
Shoes
There are loads of laces and ties on shoes in the stores at the moment. You will spend hours just getting your shoes perfect, for them to undo at the mere mention of a faster pace in your step. So beware the lace up trend, make sure you are not time poor and are committed to bending over your shoes for 10 mins getting them not so tight they stop the blood flow and you look like a cripple walking, or so loose they fall down and undo. Bending down to fix them as they unravel in the street is not really my idea of fun and if they are going all the way up your leg then they are for the young and for the boho set.
Style tip #1
Keep the laces just around the ankle and you will elimate most of the annoying part of lace up shoes and even better get the ones that just tie in a knot. Styled with ease!

These shoes are gorgeous and will get you the look…

Flat shoes.
Laces at your ankle can accentuate the calves as they divide you at the ankle, so wear them with cropped, rolled up pants, or jeans folded up. Then you can see the laces below the pants but not overly emphasis your calves, if they are not your best feature. Of course, if you are one of the few that have lovely calves, then you can wear them with skirts and dresses any length, pretty much. Envy!!!

Style Tip #2
Scarves. Yes, they are getting thinner and longer. You could even use a soft silk fabric tie belt from a shirt dress you may have bought already. Use it as a scarf, and no one would know!
You can wear scarves even in Spring this way!

So get tying and lacing this season…
