Boyfriend Shirts and Bling
Take a boring outfit. One you wear all the time, the one you pull out of the closet without thinking cos its easy, and its there. So you put it on and there you are in the usual boyfriends white shirt (i.e. big and loose), jeans combo that is a dependable outfit for everyday. Getting dressed done … Bit boring don’t you think?
Well, this is when you should grab some jewellery and put some chic in to your look.
Have some fun, and search in that jewellery drawer. You must have something that is dangly and pretty, or bold for night-time that you probably have only worn once to a dinner out a year ago. I know you have, so search right to the back of the drawer and get creative.
Start with a bejewelled earring, nice and big and dangling with jewels. Perfect for a white shirt or just a simple t shirt and jeans.There is nothing to fight for your attention so the earring can get all the glory, as the rest of the outfit is simple and classic.
If you are a bit scared then make it a simple piece but be brave one day and just try on a bigger piece of bling. There is a “but” though!
Do not wear too much makeup! Make sure your make up is light, no smokey eyes and no big red overdone lips. Sweep up your hair to show off your bling and make the jewellery the hero, or you will look like you forgot to put on your evening dress!
And if you have these amazing Van Cleef earrings then of course they need to be seen more than just during the night. They are devine!
The Look of the moment is the circle and if you want to buy one then they are loads of them around. Think Country Road for short ones, or Witchery.
Of course you can add a great necklace. Again keep the clothes simple and the jewellery wonderful.
Or you might want to put on the simple pearl. The look now is a pearl hanging down from a long chain from only one ear. Now this is for the fashion advanced!
I found the perfect earring. Mimco’s two in one earring where the long rows of jewels can be removed and you are left with a smaller diamond shaped earring. Love this idea, and its a quick change to loads of bling, to more refined bling for your more reserved mood.
Just remember the more of a contrast in style you have on, the more impact you get!
So use a boyfriends white or khaki shirt that’s big and utility in style with jeans and add a big bling earring that is glamorous, and you will look amazing!
